Our job was to make it available at the moment it is needed, in language that respects the person asking, without ever pretending to be the authority itself.

Every answer had to trace back to the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard, not to whatever a model happens to recall. That meant a retrieval layer that understands the structure of those documents, not just their words.

It also had to know when to stop. A mandatory-reporting gate, a reframer for deficit language, multilingual support and Australian data residency were requirements, not features.
