TRIONTM
UX/UI design & design system
TRION builds high-performance lithium batteries in Germany for marine, automotive, defence and energy-storage applications. A strong engineering identity, and no digital presence that matched it.
We led UX research, site architecture, wireframing, UI design and creative direction, with the design system implemented in code so the site could be built exactly as it was designed.
German precision, with nowhere to show it.
TRION's credibility lived in its engineering: the cells, the certifications, the industries it already served. Online, none of that came through. The site had to translate technical authority into something a buyer from any of those industries could read and trust in the first screen.
One site, four industries, four different buyers.
A marine integrator, an automotive OEM, a defence contractor and an energy-storage operator do not read the same page the same way. The architecture had to give each of them a route to what they needed without splitting the brand into four, and it had to convert, not just inform.
Creative direction through the interface itself.
The visual language was shaped in the UI rather than in a separate brand exercise: dark, dense, exact, with the product photography doing the talking. Power, reliability and German manufacturing, said without adjectives.
The design system was implemented in code alongside the design, so tokens, components and states existed on both sides of the handoff. What was drawn is what could be built, and nothing had to be interpreted on the way.
A digital presence that finally matches the hardware.
A site architecture that routes each industry to its own proof, a component library that holds the brand together across all of them, and a handoff a build team can execute without guessing.
Research, architecture, wireframes, UI and creative direction, with the design system implemented in code and handed over ready to build.
